Sunday Dinners

Since a small child, I remember Sundays being reserved for a special meal. I remember visiting my Mamaw's house and she would make fried chicken, biscuits and gravy. After she passed on, my great aunt carried on the tradition, but only for a short time.

To this day, I like to enjoy a special meal on Sundays. It might not always be fried chicken, but I like to serve something that I wouldn't make on a busier day. It might be pot roast, fried cube steak or even a roasted chicken.

Sunday dinners will always hold a special place in my heart. Even if I now have to work on Sundays, I try to have a special meal planned. I hope you do the same and spend time with your loved ones gathered around a special feast.

  1. Your photo looks wonderful. I'm not much of a fried chicken eater, but every once in a while, I enjoy it so very much if it's done right. That looks like it's done JUST right!
